Brushing your teeth is a hygiene must-do for almost everyone. But this toothbrush made me realize something, you may not be brushing properly. Here are the Quip toothbrush pros and cons.
I always thought I brushed my teeth long enough. But it gets boring standing there brushing your teeth when the kids are crying saying they are hungry, breakfast needs to be made, kids need to get dressed, etc.
My normal morning routine is get up, pee, and brush my teeth. Every morning like clockwork. True for most of us right?

Well I would brush my teeth real quick to get that morning breath taste out of my mouth then hurry to the kitchen and make coffee.
Yes, some people find it weird that I brush my teeth before coffee but I want to enjoy my coffee taste not have it mixed with my morning breath but to each their own.
One day my husband joked with me saying I brush my teeth soo quick. Says the man who takes 8 minutes to brush his teeth (insert huge eye roll).
Anyways, my mom came to town and she had this toothbrush that I have heard a little about and my husband told me I should get previously.
Long story short, I got the Quip toothbrush for $25. But I soon found out about the Quip toothbrush pros and cons.
Yes I know that seems steep for a toothbrush when you can get a regular one for under $5, but this for me was worth the price tag.
I got it at my local target, which I loved that I didn’t have to order some fancy thing online. They sell it at target. (#momwin).
Anyways this toothbrush quietly vibrates while you brush and it is actually TIMED!
Yes I said it’s timed.
The directions say to brush in quadrants. So I start with bottom left and stay on that side of my mouth until the tiny pause in vibrations then switch to lower right until the pause then move to the top 2 quadrants. 30 seconds in each quad which this combined is 2 minutes.
Which is the time dentists recommend you brush your teeth.
Once I used this the first time, I was hooked. It was so interesting to me that I probably really wasn’t brushing my teeth long enough!
It actually made me sit and focus on brushing my teeth and not just rushing through to move onto the next task. It was a little self-love treatment for myself in the morning.
It made me sit and think about really getting every tooth in the quadrant I was working on. It made me a better brusher and my dentist thanks me for that.
Granted my teeth were never grossly yellow or anything. I have pretty teeth from what I’ve been told and I’m sure my mother would appreciate that since she spent a fortune on braces for me.
But this slim little toothbrush has made my teeth whiter! Could be the sonic vibration (which remind me of the tool dentists use) or it could be the fact I’m actually brushing the recommended time, but whatever it is it works.
Quip toothbrushes use sonic vibrations to clean the teeth thoroughly.
They also have a monthly subscription in which you get a new brush head and battery for the toothbrush for only $5 every 3 months.
This makes sure you replace your brush head often (which dentists also recommend) and battery to keep it lasting forever.
