There are so many car seats out on the market it can get a bit overwhelming. Personally I have only ever used Britax car seats and I’ve tried many in my 5 years of kiddos needing car seats. These are the best Britax car seat I’ve tried.
Finding the right car seat should be easy and simple. Which is why I love the Britax website.
They make it easy and simple to use and to see which car seat would best fit your needs for the weight and height of your child.
Plus the website will direct you to the best options so you can compare models and specifications of which you’d prefer.

These are the best Britax car seats we’ve used and loved for our family. Granted there are some downfalls which I will also explain too.
Britax B-Safe 35 Travel System
This was actually a baby shower registry gift from my family. I had registered for this one because a friend of mine let me test hers out and I loved it.
It was easy to collapse and I love that this travel system came with the infant seat, base, and a stroller!
What a great combo. Now before I go further, there are now plenty of other options out there on the market with many more bells and whistles. But this was back in 2015 when I first was looking at car seats and strollers.
But I still use this stroller sometimes, 5 years later, when I have just one kid with me and its smaller than my Double Bob.
Britax Marathon Clicktight
This carseat is such a great long term transition car seat. My oldest was in this car seat for a good long while before upgrading and currently my youngest is it in.
This car seat was so great we actually ordered the exact same one after we had to replace the car seat when we got into a car accident.
It was nothing majorly seriously, just a little bumper tap when someone hit up but you are supposed to replace when you are in any sort of accident and your car insurance will actually pay to replace it. (At least Geico does)
So after the accident we got the exact same car seat and we’ve used that ever since.
It has the longest lifespan because it can be rear-facing up to 40 pounds, as well as forward facing up to 65 pounds.
My only issue with this seat is the covers are not machine washable.
Therefore when my youngest got car sick and threw up all over the cushions of the car seat, I had to hand wash everything and that was a pain and hard to get the smell out.
Other than the non-machine washable cushions, I love this car seat.
I love that the seat belt buckle is easy to thread through, I also love that the seat has a “click” (hence the name clicktight) when you push the seat down after the belt install to ensure you that it is properly secure.
Britax Frontier Clicktight Harness-2-Booster
This item is now called the Britax Grow with You Clicktight Harness-2-Booster. This is the Britax car seat my oldest is in currently. It is super padded, easy to install and comes with built in cupholders.
I wish the convertible one we had had built in cupholders but they do have accessories for all the car seats and travel systems.
This car seat is great because it grows with your child up until the last stages of being in a car seat.
The head rest part moves up as your child grows and the 5-point harness can be removed once no longer needed.
The buckles are easy to adjust as well as your child grows.
So far overall we’ve been happy with this car seat. It does not take up a ton of space in the backseat which is nice for smaller cars and SUVs.
Overall I have been happy with the best Britax car seat selections we’ve chosen throughout the years. I recommend to everyone who wants to ensure the safety of their kids without necessarily needing or wanting all the bells and whistles.
