Best Planner for Moms

best planner for moms

Who doesn’t love a good planner, right? I love planners and I buy multiple throughout the year because I find cuter ones as I continue. But recently I have stuck with a specific design because it works best for me. I’ve compiled the best planner for moms for whatever your needs may be.

It took me years to find a type of planner I love. And it got harder once I became a mom. I just couldn’t find the best planner for moms.

Until I came across a few that I actually loved and have used.

Some are a bit more detailed and others are more simple, but both get the job done. It just depends on your preference.

Day Designer

This planner was my go-to for a few years! Mainly because I loved the hourly planner on each day.

It made me feel more in control of my life and it also worked really well when I had to schedule my day-to-day because I had the times of specific events or appointments right there.

It also had a weekly section and monthly view one too so it basically had all your bases covered.

I loved this planner and recommended this as the best planner for moms.

Until I stopped using it because honestly life got in the way and I soon found it tedious to write out hour by hour things.

Could I have not written every little thing down? Yes. But my brain wouldn’t work like that if the time slots were there, I had to fill it in. My OCD I suppose.

Eccolo Brand Planner

This is the one I am currently using as a work scheduler.

This planner I found at HomeGoods for under $25 and it was just so pretty I had to get it. They do sell the exact same one (different cover) on Amazon for under $30.

It is basic and I love that about it. It has a monthly view and weekly view with specific days. I love this for writing out my to-do lists for work or what I have to get done on a specific day to meet a deadline.

This planner I also love how big the day spaces are in the month view section. Plenty of space to write down my blogging and social media content to plan my entire month.

PRO TIP: Have multiple planners for work and personal. I have a specific work planner and it keeps me focused and on track so much better than when I used to mix personal and work. KEEP IT SEPARATE.

In all fairness, I don’t use this planner for every day things. I specifically use it for work and work alone.

I do not put appointments for the kids or myself, I do not put my daughters school functions or events, etc. I only put work things in here and honestly it keeps me more on track and focused.

Productivity Planner

This planner is great for staying productive and is where I got the whole block scheduling concept from that I implement into my life currently.

I have not actually bought the physical copy, I did download her digital version that I could just print myself. I loved the block scheduling to keep the whole house on track for what is happening at certain blocks in the day.

It is especially useful if you have young kids at home to keep your day flowing and not overwhelming feeling.

Calendar App on Phone

This is the one I probably use the most because I always have my phone with me.

I have the iPhone and the calendar app is handy for everyday things.

Like I mentioned before, I keep separate calendars for work and personal items. So for my everyday personal and family stuff I use my calendar app on my phone.

But I don’t just willy-nilly add stuff on days. I color code everything.

I have a different color for everyone and different items.

For example, my kids things like school stuff or birthday parties I have colored as purple. My husbands work schedule and work events I have as yellow. Paydays I have as green, bills and monthly expenses I have as orange, my personal stuff for just myself I have as blue, etc. You get my point.

Color coding everything has been great because I can plug in “Bring fundraiser money” in purple and I know that is a kid school thing.

Another great tip and tool I use is the shared calendar function in the app. So for example, things I need my husband to have on his calendar too I put in a colored shared calendar.

For example, the purple kids calendar items I have listed as a shared calendar therefore whenever I add something that involves the kids, it will automatically get added to his calendar in his app too and notify him of it.

No more “I didn’t know” excuses ladies! This is a life changer!

So between the color coding and shared folders in the calendar app I really don’t use a physical planner currently for my personal stuff.

I just use one for my work stuff so I can write it down and keep things separate.

These are the three main best planner for moms that I have personally used and loved. Hopefully these gave you some different options to try and find out which planner fits best for your life.
