Is success something you strive for as a mom? How can we be productive with little minions running around? Well having 10 good habits to help you become the best mom you can be while being productive is the first step.

Good habits can help make the success flow and not feel like such a chore or huge undertaking to be successful.

Wake Up Before the Kids

This one is the most common amongst the most successful individual. This can be hard as a mom because we always want to soak up the most amount of sleep we can get.

Especially if you are a night owl mama, then chances are you stay up late and have a hard time getting up in the morning.

Make small changes daily to make that shift to go to bed later and wake up earlier.

Try and wake up before your kids do.

This way you can get some things done or even just get yourself ready for the day before tending to the kids.

Stay Hydrated

Make sure you drink plenty of water throughout the day to keep up your energy.

You need to keep up your energy to stay productive and alert throughout the day.

Most of us hit that afternoon slump because a lack of hydration. So try drinking a ton of water and see if you get some afternoon energy back.

Keep a Schedule

Whether you are a planner type or mom or not, keeping a loose daily schedule will help with productivity and success.

Keeping a schedule will also help keep you on track with what to come during the day to keep you focused on tasks at hand.

I love using the block schedule method in order to break up my day and make sure I keep up with all my motherly duties without over working myself or not working enough.

It makes for the perfect daily balance. Link here to my schedule downloadable.

Unplug

Make sure and also take time to unplug throughout the day. This will ensure that your kids and family also get the time and energy they need during the day.

Breaking up your day and especially unplugging from social media, work, electronics, etc. will give you lots of family time together.

Having a strong and secure family security is also a level of success that most tend to forget about.

So unplug and spend time with your family or even just yourself to give yourself you time.

Take Time for Yourself

Taking time for yourself is just as important as family time.

You cannot pour from an empty cup. Therefore make sure your self-love cup is overflowing so you can give to others and your business.

Taking care of yourself so you is one of the 10 good habits to being successful.

Not sure what to do for a self-care time? Here are some ideas for some self-care mom ideas.

Move Your Body

Whether you like to lift weights or do yoga, moving your body will help with productivity and success.

Gettting that blood flowing can increase brain activity and productivity.

This is why exercise is usually on everyones 10 good habits list because it is that important.

If you don’t like to workout at all, just take your kids outside and play with them!

Not only will this make them so happy to have mom playing with them, but it will force you to move your body and you won’t look at it as “exercise”. It will just be play time with the kids.

Even participating in a stroller walk with some friends or local mommy group can help get moving too!

Social Time

This habit is especially important if you are a work from home mom or a stay at home mom.

Humans are naturally social creatures.

Therefore people crave social interaction. It may not be all the time especially if you are more of an introvert.

But talking with other adults can be benefitical for success.

So create a habit of calling up a friend daily or weekly and chatting with another adult.

Or get together with another mommy friend for a play date or stroller walk like mentioned above.

Having mommy friends can really help with a lot of things too like postpartum depression as well as create brainstorming ideas for success as well.

Plan Ahead

Planning ahead, even if things don’t always go as planned, can help keep track of upcoming events/functions/work things.

Planning ahead is one very important part of 10 good habits for success! Planning ahead not only keeps your mind on track, but it can also give you a sense of motivation and determination to complete tasks on the planned days.

I know when I plan out my content for the week or month, I have a better sense of knowing what I have to do on a day-to-day basis to keep me motivated and on track with work things.

Planning ahead will also keep you from over booking yourself! If you write everything down whether in a cute planner like this one, or in your phone calendar, it will keep you on schedule and know when you have events on any given day so you don’t overdo it in one day.

Avoid Procrastination

Make a top 3 to-do list daily.

This will keep you from planning out too many things in one day and feeling disappointed if you don’t accomplish everything on that list.

So make a top 3 to-do list and focus on just getting those three things done that way you feel motivated and successful without disappointment.

Plus this will also allow you to schedule out things days in advance if you have a deadline you need to get done and this way scheduling 3 things per day will help keep you on track without procrastinating.

Enjoy It

Whether you are working or just trying to keep up with your kids. ENJOY IT!

Enjoy those moments with your kids because you won’t get that moment again. Enjoy being a parent because in the blink of an eye they will be their own adulting person and you will have all the time in the world you wish you once had.

Enjoy it because you will never think “I spent too much time with my kids”

Enjoy your work. Find a passion and go for it. If you don’t enjoy what you do, then find something that will spark that joy and passion for you.

Because if you aren’t enjoying it and you are unhappy, that will spill over into home life.

So enjoy your life whether it is work-wise or home life, find the happiness in it and you will be successful at anything.
