I have tried many times to organize my car after having kids. I tried all the car organization with kids hacks and tips online but nothing worked for everything I wanted.
I needed a trash can, organizing pocket, wipes holder, toy holder, etc. I wanted an all in one handy little thing that I could reach as well as the kids.
I never found one that I really thought worked. I tried making the DIY ones off of Pinterest, I tried cubes and using the pockets for books, etc. It never held up.
My car always ended up a mess.
I told my kids no more eating in the car, which as a parent you know didn’t last long.
So I ended up giving up and just made it a point to weekly clean out my car. This worked for awhile until life inevitably got in the way and I would end up going weeks without cleaning it then had such an anxious feeling every time I got in the car.
I hated being in my car.
So when the owner of Progaya reached out for me to test and review her new item for car organization with kids I was intrigued.
At first I was skeptical because I had tried so many different things for my car but nothing worked. But I kept an open mind and this is what I found out.
My first reaction, the Progaya car organizer was smaller than I had thought it was which I was sort of concerned about but once I got it installed it worked and I will explain why later.
I loved the fact it clips onto the head rests and under the seat to really hold it in place securely.
I loved the fact it had 2 side pouches, I used one to hold a hand sanitizer and the other you could put an extra water bottle or one sanitizer per kid on each side if you wanted (which I might do since my kids carseats have cupholders built it).
I also love it has a see-though pouch so you could place a phone in there to have the kids watch a show without fighting over who gets to “hold it” (anyone else’s kids fight over this?! Mine do, its annoying). Problem solved now.
I also love the trash can! It has a sturdy, removable liner that can easily be taken out to be washed out or to toss the trash without taking apart the entire thing. So handy! Plus the trash is big enough to hold lots of trash, not some rinky-dinky trash can that holds 2 things.
TIP: Plus if you don’t need the trash can, you can easily store some ice packs at the bottom of it and store some drinks to stay cold on trips!
This car organizer also has a small pocket on the back side (which faces you the driver) to hold pens, cords, sunglasses etc.
Plus it has a wipes holder which faces the driver/passenger which makes handing kids wipes even handier! No more digging through my purse while trying to drive looking for wipes/napkins.
I also thought this was going to get in the way of handing my kids items or block the air vents (my car doesn’t have back vents), but it doesn’t!
The smaller design helps not block the center console area (my worry from earlier).
It hangs low enough not to block the vent and the straps on the top are adjustable which is amazing!
Bonus: since this car caddy organizer is installed between the front seats, you can also use it as a barrier between the two parts of the car. Kids or pets in the back won’t be able to get to the front, as they often try to do, and will stay safely where they are.
Overall this item has been handy to have and has definitely helped keep the trash in my car to a minimum! My kids love that they have their own sanitizer pockets and I love that I can store their sunglasses in the mesh pouch so no more broken kid sunglasses. This is one of the better car organization with kids items I’ve tried!
