Personally I think Korean skincare has been slept on for years. The Korean skincare companies have been producing amazing, clean, natural products for years. I decided to try the hype so you can see for yourself!

I started my Korean skincare journey after watching TikTok videos and seeing them all over my FYP.

I went to Amazon and purchased 3 products at first to try out and see what the hype was all about.

Lets just say long story short: I’m obsessed and now have multiple Korean skincare products for my day and night routine.

A little goes a long way with these products and I love how clean they feel on my skin. I’ll show a before and after so you can get the full effect before diving in.

I mean wow right! Switching out and adding some products has completely transformed my skin.

I had friends tell me my skin was GLOWING and asking what I was doing differently.

Korean skincare is what I’d tell them.

Now lets dive in. I will start with my morning routine.

Korean Skincare Day Routine

First I start by just rinsing my face with water, I don’t cleanse in the morning because I noticed when I was cleansing morning and night my skin was sooo dry and it just damaged my skin more.

After I rinses off with water and just dab dry with clean towel.

PSA: switch out your towels DAILY! they harvest bacteria! What is even better are the towelettes that you toss but they aren’t super environmentally friendly. Thats why I just use a washcloth fresh every day.

After drying off but not completely, just enough to get the water from dripping, then I use my Anua 77% toner. Pour a little in my hands and pat onto the skin.

Afterwards I apply COSRX snail mucin. This may sound gross but there is soo many benefits to using this! Don’t belive me, do a quick google search.

The I use my Beauty of Josin glow serum which helps hydrate the skin and leaves that “glass skin” look. My skin feels sooo good after I use this!

Then I use my Monat rejuvenique oil (the same one I use on my hair for pre-wash treatments). It helps hydrate the skin and the oils help balance the ph of my skin so they don’t overproduce oil.

Then I finish off with my DRMTLGY peptide night cream (yes I use it in the morning).

After these steps my skin is glowing, hydrated and lasts all day long!

Korean Skincare Night Routine

Every night I double cleanse. This is important. You wouldn’t mop the floors before you sweep away the trash right?

Same with your skin, you need to remove all the makeup, sunscreen, environmental factors, etc. Even if I don’t wear makeup that day I always have sunscreen on so I always double cleanse with my Anua cleansing oil.

This is silky smooth, gets rid of all my makeup (even waterproof) and helps cleanse my skin before I use my foaming cleanser.

I hop in the shower (I’m a nighttime shower gal). I use my Anua poor deep cleansing foam.

After I get out of the shower, I take one of my MEDIHEAL teatree toner pads and glide all over my face. This helps with redness and any trouble blemish areas.

Then again with the Anua 77 toner.

Now I have been using a skin cycle routine which helps not overuse products and helps give my skin time to recover from actives like retinol.

The above is what I use every single night. Below is where the nighttime routine differs slightly.

Night 1: Exfoliation. After I do the above products, I will use a Medicube zero pore pad to exfoilate.

Night 2: Retinol. This is where I use my retinol products to help with skin texture and appearance. I personally use the Some By Mi brand retinol.

Night 3 & 4 are both recovery nights which means I skip the retinol and exfoliation products and just use products to hydrate the skin and protect my skin barrier.

Now here is where it stays the same even on night 1 and 2 of my Korean skincare night routine.

Every night I use Anua Niacinamide which helps with dark spots.

Then I go in with some of the same products as the daytime routine.

Again I follow with the snail mucin.

Then the Monat rejuvenique oil.

Lastly I will use the DRMTLGY barrier repair mask to help hydrate and repair my skin barrier.

I will also use my red light wand every night. I love the one by Solawave and it stays by my nightstand so I can use it before bed.

This may sound like a lot of products, but I built this routine over time. Try 1-3 products and see how your skin reacts. Give it time and take before photos!!
