Tao Clean Facial Brush: Did it Actually Help My Skin?

The Tao clean facial brush seems to be the next greatest skincare brush invention. We all know skincare is important and there are a million different skincare brushes that claim all sort of things, so why is this Tao clean facial brush any different? Let me tell you!

Now I used to be the girl in high school that would sleep in her makeup (cringeworthy I know!). I never really cared about skincare because I didn’t have skin issues.

Yes, I would get a pimple here and there and I had tiny blackheads on my nose but nothing majorly catastrophic.

Since there was no major issues, I didn’t truly get into skincare until my adulthood.

I started my skincare a few months before my wedding, I got a facial and washed my face religiously but it wasn’t until after my wedding that I started to get really bad skin.

I started to get stress pimples and I wanted to clear them up. I felt like the more I stressed out about my skin, and then piled on the makeup to hide my acne it just ended up worse.

I got really bad acne (as shown below) and face pimples and I didn’t know what to do.

I did a quick google search and I came across all sorts of skincare regiments and treatments.

Most which actually made my skin worse because I was actually doing TOO much to “help” my skin.

Anyways, I decided I needed a skincare brush and for a few days I loved it.

It got all my makeup off and left my skin squeaky clean (almost too clean it was dry). But I didn’t know any better and decided to keep at it.

Months later I stopped using that particular brush because it wasn’t clearing my skin like it claimed.

Now this could be because I was doing too much between using the brush, face peels, serums, etc. But I stopped using it and my skin sort of cleared up.

Few years went by, and I got another round of bad breakouts after I had my second child and I decided to give that brush another go and the same thing happened, it made it worse instead of clearer.

So I said forget it and ended up throwing away that cleanser brush.

So What Did I End Up Getting??

Now fast forward to this past Christmas (2019) and I had asked my husband for a Tao clean facial brush, this Tao Cleanser Brush to be exact, because of a recommendation of a Youtuber I follow.

What made this brush different from all the other brushes out there, was the stand for the brush is actually a cleaner for the brush itself!

And now shown below is my skin, years later once I found this Tao clean facial brush and a better skin regimen.

I only have a light face powder on, but as you clearly see, there is no major acne or pimples.

In full disclosure, I believe along with this cleanser brush and better skincare routine it truly has transformed my skin.

But cleaner nutrition, more water and being on birth control (which has helped balance my hormones majorly) are most likely all contributing factors to my clearer skin.

I will say when I don’t do a through job cleaning and cleansing my skin, I will get flare ups and random pimples, but once I use this cleanser brush for a day or two and get all the grime off, my skin clears right back up!

So I do truly believe in this brush and I love the bonus features it comes with like the sanitizing and drying.
