Motorola Baby Monitor Reviews

When I was registering for my baby shower I looked extensively at baby monitors!

I did research on WiFi vs Bluetooth ones and which ones had the best range and battery life and so on.

But I also didn’t want to register for a baby monitor that was $200+! I didn’t want my registry to seem greedy. (For more unique baby shower gifts, read here!)

I wanted to be practical with my registry and my family. Therefore I landed on registering (and receiving) the Motorola MBP36S monitor, after reading many Motorola baby monitor reviews.

I went to the store to see it in person; it was simple, had all the requirements I was looking for in a monitor, and wasn’t overly priced.

Once I received this monitor and got it all hooked up and installed (super easy, plug in and turn on), I loved it more than I thought I would!

It had a super clear picture quality (I tested in daytime first) and it was in color! During the night it had a clear night vision infrared picture.

I could zoom in and see my daughters face and if she was actually asleep or awake which I loved. It also had a room temperature icon that gave a reading of the room temp and I was so excited!

I could now gauge if I needed a fan or heater depending on the temp! It also has a build in music player which has about 5 lullaby’s to choose from that loop so you don’t have to worry about baby waking up once the music stops.

I still to this day use this monitor for baby number 2!

PROS:

  • Easy installation
  • Color camera with good quality and zoom
  • Built in music on loop with volume control
  • Easily add additional cameras
  • Relatively inexpensive
  • 2 way talk feature (push a button and talk to your baby from a different room)
  • Decent range
  • Video is used with bluetooth NOT WiFi so no hacking by stranger danger
  • Ability to scan the room if multiple kids in the room
  • cheaper than others on the market, only $80! on Amazon

CONS:

  • Battery life isn’t great, dies after about an hour unplugged

Overall this camera has worked for me and I still continue to use it with baby girl #2 but there are definitely some draw backs.

If I could re-register or wanted to buy a new system I would probably look into ones with better battery life but since I don’t mind keeping it plugged in-it works.

Hope you enjoyed this Motorola baby monitor reviews.
