Fridababy Nail Clippers

Want to know the biggest fear of parents new and experienced? Cutting baby nails! Lets review if the fridaybaby nail clippers help ease that experience.

Clipping your infants fingernails! That is what most parents say when you ask the most worrisome activity you have to do as a parent. Their nails are so tiny that you are fearful of cutting skin. Fridababy nail clippers claimed to make this task easier.

A parents worst nightmare. Well at least it was mine!

I absolutely HATED clipping my oldest daughter nails when she was an infant!

I would go to my sisters house and have her do it because I was so afraid of cutting her tiny little fingers that I refused to do it.

It wasn’t until she got older and could sit still and I was able to cut them again without fear or anxiety.

So when my second daughter came along and the inevitable happened. Her fingernails grew and those little things are like sharp daggers against the skin!

Once again I got anxiety, just like before, thinking about cutting her nails.

That was until FridaBaby sent me their basics box and in it came a set of nail clippers and a nail file.

I thought well maybe I’ll try these fridababy nail clippers since they were slanted and claim to be safer and easier than normal smaller sized clippers.

Plus I love and trust all the other FridaBaby products (read about my previous reviews here on nosesucker & dermababy), so I gave it a shot.

I was able to hold my daughters hand and since the blades of the clippers are slanted, I was able to slide it under the grown out nail and just clip. The “clip” was smooth and silent!

It wasn’t like adult clippers were you hear the “clip” sound. It was soft and quiet so my daughter didn’t have any clue what was happening.

She just thought mama was holding her hand. Cute right?

The other plus was that the kit came with a nail file. This wasn’t just any ol’ small sized file.

It’s curved!

When I first saw the curved file I just thought “oh they are trying to be all fancy with their design” but that’s not the case.

While yes it does look cool and unique it is actually so much easier to file their tiny little fingers with it being curved.

Like I said before, I was able to just hold her hand and since the file has curves going both ways I was able to just file her nails while holding her hand like shown below.
