Teething can make even the easiest of babies, grumpy and unsettled. Have no fear, listed below are some teething hacks.

If you are already in the middle of the teething journey then you might be at your wits end thinking if this will ever end. You’re probably looking for the best teething hacks; and I’m here to help.

The constant crying and gnawing on anything. For me, our little drool monster loves chewing on a multitude of things.

So here are the best teething hacks and toys I’ve used in the past for both my kids!

BooginHead teething pals:

These soft animal heads with blanket bodies are the cutest and softest! One edge of the small blanket has a rubber teething edge and the rest of the corners are tied into little knots.

Baby’s loves chewing on and grabbing a hold of! The animal head has a loop string you could attach a pacifier if you wanted.

My youngest loves soft items, she constantly chews on the burp cloths or her bibs and she especially loves blankets.

Any kind of blanket as long as it’s soft! Which is why I recently purchased the BooginHead! Purchase for $13 at Target.

Food Teethers

These silicone cups that you can put frozen fruits or veggies (or whatever they love to eat) into the bag and they can chew on it plus bonus get some yummy snacks out of it too! Win-Win!

You can also put an ice cube in the mesh bag teethers and have them suck or chew on that. Whatever they might like! Mine loves frozen blueberries and frozen banana in their mesh bags.

Teething Bracelet:

This item is supposed to be worn by the adult so the baby can gnaw away on the rubbery silicone beads.

Since I don’t wear jewelry and don’t want to get her in that habit of chewing what I’m wearing, I just hand it to her and she holds it instead!

The bracelet is small enough for her to grasp a hold of and go to town! Purchase for $9 at Target.

Teething necklace:

Same concept as the teething bracelet, but this one is longer and I used it when my oldest was teething.

I mainly had this one attached to the cart cover I had (review for that item here) so she could chew on the rubber beads while I shopped.

Purchase for $13 at Target.

Oball Rattle:

I had this toy for my oldest and just bought a new one for my youngest.

These things are great for babies to grab onto since they have holes and some sections have beads in it so it makes noise when baby shakes it! Both my girls loved these toys!

I put a pacifier clip on it for my oldest and attached it to her car seat straps so she could chew and play and throw it without it going anywhere in the car!

It worked perfectly!! She could throw and play and it was always within arms reach!

For my youngest though, I haven’t attached it yet because she loves putting it up to her face and sticking her tongue between the gaps.

Purchase for $4 at Target.

Finger Toothbrush:

While this item is meant to brush babies first teeth, this worked better as a teether for my kids.

My oldest loved to chew on fingers, so this item saved my fingers from her sharp little teeth!

My youngest however was not a big fan since she has a smaller mouth and preferred soft cloths instead of this soother.

But this item is perfect for those babies that want to chew on fingers! Purchase for $3 at Target.

Frozen Washcloth

Take a clean washcloth and get it wet, then store in the freezer. Have baby chew on this if they don’t care for traditional teething toys! This was the best teething hack I used with both my girls!

This way the cold will help numb their gums and they might like that they can grip it better and hold it more comfortably in their mouths.

Sophie the Giraffe:

This is probably the most requested item on everyone’s baby registry, but my youngest wasn’t a fan.

The sharp squeaking nose freaked her out and she could never find a comfortable spot to gnaw on. My oldest however loved this toy when she was teething.

She chewed on the legs and ears of the giraffe. Plus she liked the squeaking noise so this was perfect for her.

Although the price is a little pricey for a teething toy. Purchase for $25 at Target.

Amber Teething Necklaces

This teething hack is for my holistic moms who don’t want to resort to medication for their teething babies. Or moms who just want to try everything before heading to the drug store.

Now I personally have never used an amber teething necklace, but I had friends and coworkers who SWORE by them! They said it was the only thing that worked and helped their little one.

So if you want to try out some amber necklaces that the baby wears to help soothe their teeth (something in the beads when its warmed with body heat that gives off an aroma that helps)

Hopefully this gave you some teething hacks ideas and although these may be some of their favorite teething toys, nothing compares to their own hands/fingers.

Hands down those are their favorite. Anyone else?? Comment below some of your kiddos favorite teething toys!
