What if you have 2 kids that desperately need baths? You have to figure out how to do one right after the other while either the toddler runs naked through the house or the baby screams from her rocker in the other room! Enter mom anxiety and stress!! I felt this way trying to bathe both of them! Until I decided to check out a summer infant baby seat for the bath tub.
Read all about a nighttime routine with a toddler and baby here for some inspiration and ideas.
Plus as my little one got older she wanted to sit up like her sissy and not lay nicely in the infant bather anymore!
Bath time was becoming a NIGHTMARE with her and not the relaxing adorable bath time play that it used to be. That is until I found this summer infant baby seat!
I found this Summer Infant Baby Seat on their Instagram and I saw this new product and thought, “what a genius idea! I must have one!”
So I purchased on amazon and 2 days later it was at my door step, you can also purchase at Target.
This seat was the EASIEST thing to set up!
You just place the seat in the tub and release the back tube thing and push it out so it suctions to the back of the tub, then turn the knob to lock it in place.
Then do the same to the two side suctions and you’re all set! Easy-peasy!
Now this seat is sturdy! Once latched and suctioned correctly, this thing isn’t going anywhere!! Before I put my 5 month old in the seat I sat there and pulled and pushed on the seat to make sure it wasn’t moving!
I even had my 2.5 year old try and move it and she couldn’t! And we all know toddlers have a way of doing things us parents can’t! So I felt confident that this seat was sturdy!
So I filled the tub with a little soap & water and placed my little one in the seat. She LOVED IT! She loved being able to sit up in the seat!
Now since she’s only 5 months old she’s not quite 100% sitting up on her own, so she did sort of slide and slouch down a little and leaned back in the seat but she wasn’t going to slip into the water because of the leg sections won’t allow kids to slide past a certain point.
I had both of my kids in the tub and got them both washed up and they were so happy and had the best time together!!
Now the only thing with this seat is depending on the chunkiness of your little one, it may be hard to really get in the lower regions to get a good clean.
And since they are sitting it’s hard to clean the bum, but I tackled that problem by just making sure the bath water had soap in it so she just sat and sort of soaked in the soapy water while they played and I cleaned off the rest of her!
Overall this product has been a life saver and I would recommend to anyone who wants the ease of being able to bathe both kiddos at once and wants the peace of mind that their kiddo isn’t going anywhere in this seat!
